The Auburn Tigers began competing in intercollegiate football in 1892 and have amassed the 12th most wins in major college history. The NCAA Record Book lists Auburn as National Champions in 2010, 1993, 1983, 1957 and 1913. The Tigers have won 12 conference championships and 22 bowl titles in 38 appearances.
 
Three Auburn players have earned the Heisman Trophy (Cam Newton, Bo Jackson and Pat Sullivan) while 73 Tigers have been awarded All-America honors. Auburn plays in Jordan-Hare Stadium, one of the largest and loudest venues in college athletics with an official capacity of 87,451.
