Auburn Tigers
Cameron Artis-Payne's two TD runs today gave him 13 for the season and 19 for his career. This was Artis-Payne's 12th career 100-yard game (ninth this season). He passed Rudi Johnson (1,567 yards in 2000) for third place in Auburn all-time single-season rushing (1,608). He is now 14th in Auburn career rushing (2,218), passing Kenny Irons (2,186 yards from 2005-06).
The 66-yard TD pass from Nick Marshall to Ricardo Louis was the longest reception by Louis this season and the second-longest completion by Marshall this season. It was Louis' fifth career receiving TD and his third this season.
Marshall has 33 career passing touchdowns and 20 for the season (third-most among Auburn single season leaders). This was Marshall's 12th career 200-yard passing game and his 12th career game with multiple TD passes.
Daniel Carlson is now third among Auburn season PAT leaders with 57; he passes Wes Byrum's 2009 total (54-54). At 57-57, Carlson has the most PATs without a miss in a season in Auburn history.
Carlson's 51-yard field goal was a career long; his previous long FG was 46 yards. Carlson's 18 made field goals this season are third-most in Auburn history and his 111 points scored this season tie him with Cody Parkey (2013) for the second-most points by an Auburn kicker ever in a season.
Jermaine Whitehead's interceptions give him six this season and nine for his career; this is his first career game with two interceptions. He also had interceptions this season against Arkansas, San José State, Texas A&M and Alabama.
Trovon Reed's interception was his third of the season; he also had interceptions against San José State and Kansas State.
Auburn has 22 team interceptions for the season. It's the first time since 1973 that two Auburn players have had at least six interceptions each: Roger Mitchell (6) and Jim McKinney (6) in 1973 and Jonathan Jones (6) and Jermaine Whitehead (6) this season.
Auburn is now 22-15-2 in bowl games (2-1 in overtime bowl games).
Auburn's last overtime game was a 31-28 win against ULM in 2012 at Jordan-Hare Stadium; Auburn's last Outback Bowl appearance was a 38-35 overtime win against Northwestern. Auburn has a 7-6 all-time overtime record.
