AUBURN - The Auburn men's basketball team took time out from its preparations for Saturday's 1 pm home game against Alabama A&M to deliver Christmas toys to children in the East Alabama Medical Center Friday.

The Tigers spent an hour in the hospital spreading Christmas cheer to patients, their families and nurses. The Auburn coaching staff also passed out many Alabama A&M tickets to hospital personnel for Saturday's game.

"It was a fun experience,* said senior Frank Tolbert. "We really enjoyed it , and we were able to put a smile on some of the people's faces. It is always good to go see people who are not able to be at home."

The team will visit the Lee County Youth Development Center on Jan. 4.

Tickets to Auburn's remaining pre-conference games are $5 each for the Alabama A&M game Saturday at 1 pm, Towson Dec. 29 at 1 pm, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Jan. 2 at 7 pm and Xavier Jan. 6 at 2 pm.
