AUBURN----Sophomore forward Lucas Hargrove and 7-foot-1 freshman center Boubacar Sylla are both out with injuries from four to six weeks, Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo said Friday. Hargrove broke his left non-shooting hand in practice while Sylla has a stress reaction in his left ankle suffered in the Kennesaw State game Nov. 13.

"I feel badly for both Lucas and Boubacar," said Lebo. "These injuries severely limit what we can do as a team. "

The Tigers, who are in the midst of a 10-day break in between games for final exams, are down to only seven available scholarship players again. Hargrove has appeared in all six games, averaging 4.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game while shooting 60 percent from the field. The 6-foot-6 Pontiac, S.C., native totaled 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals at Charleston Southern and 10 points and five boards vs. Kennesaw State.

Sylla totaled three points and three rebounds vs. Kennesaw State Nov. 13 in his last significant game action. He is averaging one point and a rebound and has missed the last three games.

Auburn (4-2) returns to action vs. Southern in the Coors Classic in Mobile Dec. 15. The Tigers next home game is vs. Mercer Dec. 19.
