Frosh 4Auburn's freshman quartet of Shaq Johnson (15), Jordan Price (13), Jordon Granger (13) and Brian Greene Jr. (2) combined for 43 of Auburn's 108 points and 19 of the Tigers' 26 assists in the exhibition game. Johnson made all seven shots he attempted from the field, including one 3-pointer, to go along with three assists in 14 minutes. Price went 2-of-4 from 3-point range to go along with three assists and three steals in 20 minutes. Granger was 5-of-6 from the floor and had four rebounds, three steals and two blocks in 21 minutes. Greene Jr. dished out a game-high 12 assists and had four steals in 26 minutes. 108 PointsAuburn scored 100 points for the first time since defeating Grambling 105-56 in Huntsville, Ala., 10 seasons ago on Nov. 29, 2003. The 108 points scored were the most the Tigers have had since No. 6 Auburn defeated Div. II Puerto Rico-Mayaguez 109-52 in the San Juan Shootout first round on Dec. 20, 1999. |
