Barbee's 2011 Coaches vs. Cancer 'Celebrity Tailgate' Set for Oct. 15
Sept. 13, 2011
AUBURN - Preparations are underway for the American Cancer Society's 2011 Coaches vs. Cancer at Auburn University Celebrity Tailgate, which will take place three hours prior to the Auburn vs. Florida football game on Oct. 15 on the Auburn Arena Patio. Chaired by head basketball coach Tony Barbee, this event unites the Auburn family together for a great time while also contributing to the fight against cancer. This first-ever `Celebrity Tailgate' event will feature sports legends and celebrities from many of the athletics programs at Auburn University. A silent auction with unique Auburn memorabilia and one-of-a-kind VIP experiences will be held during the event. The event also includes a tailgate-style meal generously donated by Chappy's Deli and the opportunity to take pictures and visit with Auburn's celebrities in true tailgate fashion. Tickets are available for the event at a tax-deductible price of $100 per person over five years of age. The funds raised at the event support the American Cancer Society's mission to create a world with less cancer and a world with more birthdays by helping people stay well, get well, find cures and fight back.
