It's time for the Auburn basketball family to get together again, so it is with great pleasure that we invite you, your co-workers, and your guests to the Third Annual Tony Barbee M.A.D.E. Charity Golf Tournament. This year's tournament will be held Friday, September 27th, 2013, at Moore's Mill Country Club in Auburn. It's a great opportunity to golf, meet returning Basketball Letterman, coaching staff and other notable Auburn Alums. This full-day event includes continental breakfast, lunch, a scramble format tournament, and an award's dinner party.
We ask that you continue the tradition of the tournament by showing your support as an individual or corporate sponsor. If you can't make the event, but would like to make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated.
Last year's tournament once again sold out, so register early to ensure a spot in this event. This year's Tournament is very close to being sold out already.
Coach Tony Barbee announced that this year's proceeds from The M.A.D.E. Golf Tournament being held on September 27th 2103 will benefit an educational fund set up for the children of the recently deceased Auburn Tiger Korvotney Barber.
"I was fortunate to meet Korvotney just a couple of weeks before his tragic passing. He stopped by my office to introduce him-self and talk about the years he spent here. You couldn't help but be inspired by his passion and love for Auburn University and basketball," said Barbee.
Golfers who participate in this year's event will win the satisfaction of knowing their donations to the charitable organization M.A.D.E. will be directly benefitting a great Auburn man's family.
Korvotney Barber's family has been invited and will be here at the M.A.D.E awards dinner following golf at The Moore's Mill C.C. on Friday September 27th.
An outpouring of support has already come from AU Basketball Letterman who are scheduled to participate or attend this year's M.A.D.E. Golf Tournament. "I know the whole Auburn Family will see this as great opportunity to rise to the occasion and help," spoke Barbee.
