Jordon Granger and the Tigers open up the Bruce Pearl era at 9 p.m. on ESPNU
For the first time in program history, Auburn men's basketball will begin the season on Friday, Nov. 14, with a nationally televised home game as ESPNU has slated the 2014-15 opener against Wisconsin-Milwaukee for 9 p.m. CT tip. The game will follow the Auburn women's basketball season-opener against Troy, which starts at 6 p.m.
"What an incredible way to tip off the year with a doubleheader with Coach Flo (Terri Williams-Flournoy) and the women and playing on national television, "Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl said. "I ask the Auburn family to embrace the late start time so we can get our program much-needed national exposure. Together we can sell out Auburn Arena and send a strong message across the country of the direction that our program is headed."
Tickets for both the men's and women's games will also allow fans into the other game. Those holding women's tickets will take seat priority during the women's game while those with men's tickets will take priority during the men's game. The ticket will be considered a general admission ticket for the game it was not purchased for.
