AUBURN - Auburn senior forward Korvotney Barber, who is the only player to average a double-double in league play, was named to the Coaches All-SEC second-team while senior guard Quantez Robertson was an All-Defensive team selection, the Southeastern Conference office announced Tuesday.

Barber is the only player in the SEC to average a double-double in league play with 12.8 points and 9.8 rebounds. In fact, he is one of only 10 players among BCS conference teams to average a double-double in league play.

The Manchester, Ga., native leads the SEC averaging 9.8 rebounds per game, is fifth in the league shooting 54.0 percent from the floor, leads the SEC with 3.8 offensive rebounds per game, is ninth with 1.2 blocks and is 20th averaging 12.8 points. Barber has 11 double-doubles on the season and 19 total in his career.

"Vot has had a tremendous season, and he is definitely worthy of earning All-SEC honors and has played like an All-American," said Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo. "He has been there all year for us and has been vital to our success."

Barber, who is the reigning SEC Player of the Week, scored the game-winning basket at Alabama on an offensive rebound putback. Ten of his game-high 17 rebounds came on the offensive end of the floor against the Crimson Tide.

He played just 28 minutes against LSU but managed 16 points and 17 rebounds. Barber held LSU's Tasmin Mitchell, who came in averaging 16.8 points per game, to a season-low five points. Barber*s game-winning layup with four seconds remaining to upset SEC Eastern Division co-Champion Tennessee on Feb. 7 was the start of Auburn*s current torrid stretch of winning eight of nine games.

Robertson has been a mainstay of the Tigers defense this season which leads the SEC in scoring defense (64.2) and is second with 9.0 steals. With one more start, the Cincinnati, Ohio, native will be tied with Scott Pohlman for third on Auburn's all-time games started list with 121. Robertson has started 120 of 121 games in his Tiger career. He has averaged 5.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists this season.

"Tez has done everything we have asked for him in his four years at Auburn," said Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo. "I am very happy that he has been recognized for his efforts. He does so many things that do not show up on the stats sheet."

Auburn, one of the top five hottest teams in America along with North Carolina, Louisville, Washington and Pittsburgh, will play in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals against the Florida/Arkansas winner on Friday at 8:45 pm Central in the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla.
