AUBURN---Junior Korvotney Barber, who has not played since breaking his left hand three minutes into the Dec. 29 Towson game, will miss the remainder of the 2007-08 season, head coach Jeff Lebo announced Thursday. He was leading the nation shooting 72.0 percent from the field and averaging both team-highs of 14.8 points and 7.3 rebounds on the season before he was injured.

"Vot was having an outstanding season leading the nation in field goal percentage as well as having the best season of his career," said Lebo. *His injury was very unfortunate. We expect Vot to make a full recovery from surgery but just not before this season is complete.*

Including the Towson game, Barber played in 10 games for the Tigers this year, averaging 13.8 points, a team-high 6.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 27.3 minutes a game. He scored a career-high 22 points and had 10 rebounds at Alabama State Nov. 16, including 18 points in the second half. He totaled 21 points on 8-of-9 field goals and 9 rebounds in all 40 minutes at George Washington Dec. 2.
