On the game...

"I thought we played extremely hard, and I thought we looked like we are having a ton of fun out there playing together. That's what this team is about. This group has really bought in to sacrificing for the whole and giving up that individual glory, knowing that we have enough pieces in that room that if we will play for each other, a lot of special things can happen for this team. We worked on that over the summer, it really paid dividends in the Bahamas, and we worked on it in the preseason here and it has just carried over. These guys love each other, they care about each other, and they want each man to do really well. They are worried about that, not worry about their own, and I think that shows up in how we share the ball."

On the defense...

"Playing a non-traditional team in terms of size they had the one big kid, but when they took him out they had five guards on the floor, so they are a good team. They have guys who can shoot it and spread you out and all five guys can drive. We aren't going to see a lot of teams like that this year, but I thought we did a decent job when you look at the numbers. But defensively we have got a ways to go."

On the offense...

"I thought we did some really good things offensively, sharing the ball, playing against a team that has quick, small guys and they were switching everything and trying to get in the passing lanes and trying to be aggressive. I thought we did a good job of taking care of the ball as well."

On the point guards...

"Those two together, they play well off of each other. They both bring something different to the floor. Both of them being offensive threats, Tahj more of the shooter than Malcolm is, but they are both unselfish, they can both really pass the ball and they are both very cerebral players so they know how to take care of the ball and they know what I want. You look at their assist to turnover numbers, that's unbelievable. We will take that every night if we can get it."

On Tahj Shamsid-Deen...

"He's a fantastic player. You've got to pick your poison. Let's put it this way, you're not going under ball screens this year, or he will make you pay.

On Tahj's size...

"There's a lot of small guards in our league, a lot of small point guards, it's not a big deal. Irving Walker was at Florida, and you go down the list and there are tons of small guards at this level. And again, I've always said this about not just Tahj, but any player, it's not how big you are, it's how big you play. He's got as big a heart on this team as anybody."

On Matthew Atewe...

"He probably could have played tonight, but we just wanted to be cautious. You will see him on Friday."

On the performance...

"I think we looked good for the first exhibition game, offense won't be a problem for us. With the new rules it is kind of hard to guard without putting your hands out, and we are still working on the new defense. We are getting prepared and practicing for the bigger games that are coming up."

On contribution of new players...

"The point guard playing really increased with Tahj and Malcolm. They have been big for us. Tahj can really shoot. The new guys were wonderful. Benas with his international game he has is going to help us out a lot."

On chemistry of the team...

"Chemistry is strong. I would say it is the strongest it has ever been in the four years I have been here. We really hang out with each other now, and that is a big part of winning."

On what they will take away from this game...

"Scoring won't be a problem for us this year, so we are really going to take a look at defense and see what we need to work on."

On Performance...

"I was getting comfortable. Like Chris said, we can't really get aggressive with the new rules. I came back the second half and my teammates kept me in it and said, `Don't worry about it.' My teammates really responded to me and I depended on them

On first college game...

"It was a great experience, and I know it was just an exhibition but I was excited and ready to play. I've been with these guys for four months now and we are definitely ready to go out there and play someone else. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season."

On what they will take away from this game...

"Like Chris said, scoring won't really be a problem. We probably have five or six guys that can put up 20 points. So we are going to look at it from a defensive standpoint and help each other on the splits so we can guard a little more."
