Jeff Lebo Auburn Head Coach

Opening Statement...
"We shot the ball so poorly, we got unbelievable looks at the basket. We knew we were not going to be able to manufacture anything that easy. We did a great job on the offensive boards. When we score the most with the three and you do not make any three's it is tough to win a game. Albert Jackson killed us in offensive rebounds and layups. He had a career night against us. The last two games we have shot the ball so poorly from the three and that is our way to score."

On scoring on the zone...
"We got good looks. In a game like this you are not going to get wide open, no one guarding you looks . We worked on it all day yesterday in practice. We are perimeter shooters and by playing the zone they are forcing us to shoot from the outside since we are so small."

On the last timeout...
"I told the referee that I wanted a timeout if they missed the second shot. So I guess they called the timeout before they knew who had the ball. We wanted that last shot from Quan Prowell. We had two open shots that were air-balls. We needed those to go down. We had two wide open shots to extend our lead and we missed it. With us missing those shots earlier on we were not able to extend that lead to nine or 10 points. Defensively we were good enough, offensively we were not."

On players being fatigued...
"I do not know. We had the upper 30's in attempts. We need to be there because that is the way we score."

On missing 3-pointers...
"A miss is a miss. We missed them badly. We had a wide open one in the corner. (Quan) Prowell missed his from the top. We had two bad shooting performances for us. Which we cannot have we just cannot have that. "

Dennis Felton, Georgia Head Coach
On facing adversity throughout the season...
"We've come so close this season and I'm really happy for our guys. Through all the adversity they've faced this season, they've really stayed positive and just kept up their effort."

On more basketball to come...
"We've continued to stay optimistic the whole time, and what's really been gratifying for me to watch is how optimistic Sundiata (Gaines) and Dave (Bliss) have stayed. The rest of the guys know we're in a tough spot and that we've got a bright future. Those two guys aren't going to be back in Athens and that must be very difficult for them. We were walking towards the locker room and Sundiata is saying 'keep this up' in the SEC and in the NCAA tournament. That's the kind of eternal optimism that this team has continued to play with."

On Albert Jackson's playing...
"He has been playing very well and obviously had a big game tonight. He's had three-out-of-four games that he has played very well for us. We've talked about our inside players having a big game tonight, just like we would have a tough time matching up with them on the perimeter. A lot of his baskets were great rebounds, but he also had some tough ones where he got hit."

On Auburn shooting three's...
"I knew we would have to play a lot of zone and it really paid off. They could've easily hit a lot more, but I didn't feel like we could man up to them out there."

Auburn Player Quotes
Senior Forward Quan Prowell
On Auburn's Shots...
"No, it was a tough night from outside tonight for us. We made some good shots, but couldn't make the open ones."

On how Georgia changed the defense...
"I think the first few minutes they played us a lot in the man. They switched their defense up a lot on us, we were guessing half of the time which defense they were in. It was just a tough night for us."

On good look on his last shot...
"Yes, I think it was a good look, it just went in and then out."

On a disappointing loss...
"It was real disappointing. I just wanted to go out on a good note."

On mindset of the team...
"We have to go into the tournament with a strong mindset and play as hard as we can to win as many as possible."

Senior Guard Frank Tolbert
On playing his last game...
"It was disappointing because we lost. We didn't shoot the ball very good, we played good defense we just couldn't put the ball in the basket."
