Postgame Quotes - Ole Miss vs. Auburn - 2/16/08

On the game:
"I was proud of my team. Offensively, we were outstanding. Because of our offense, we were able to change defenses on our makes. I thought Quan (Prowell) shot the ball extremely well. Quantez (Robertson) almost had a triple-double for us. Again, our offense was key for us in winning the game."

On Ole Miss:
"They went small on us. We haven't seen that lineup from them. (Chris) Warren and (Dwayne) Curtis never were big factors for them."

On Auburn:
"I was concerned at the half with us being down by one point and having shot 63 percent from the field in the half. I wish that we could shoot like that every game. Our effort was good the entire game. The week off that we had before this game definitely helped us tonight."

Ole Miss Head Coach Andy Kennedy
Postgame Quotes - Ole Miss vs. Auburn - 2/16/08

On the game:
"I give all the credit to Auburn. They came in and were the more aggressive team. They certainly made plays when presented. They had us on our heels. We tried a little bit of everything, but we had no answer."

On losing four of the last five games:
"You really don't know what you have until you go through adversity. We've been hit with some adversity and have not responded the way I would have hoped we would. You have to play incredibly hard. You have to make plays that are there. We're leaving too many plays on the table. I'm the head coach here and the buck stops with me. I take full responsibility for the play of our team. Learning is a shared responsibility."

On the rest of the season:
"You would like to throw up the white flag so we can get some time to regroup, but you can't do that. The games keep coming. We will either keep going in the direction we're going, which isn't the one preferred, or we can find a way to man-up and change it. I'm still waiting for this team to take ownership. I don't feel as if the guys have really stepped up and taken ownership. That's why we are on this slide."
