Arkansas Head Coach Stan Heath
"We knew we had to come out and play hard tonight. It wasn't always pretty, but we got the win. We needed to get back on track. I am excited about this win. We did a better job of utilizing the big guys in the second half. We've got to use the post players to get us some inside points. We had more production when we got them the ball.
"Charles Thomas gave us a big lift. We were glad to have him back. He gives us great versatility. He had some nice interior rebounds and scoring. He helped us tremendously.
"Sonny Weems wasn't all here tonight, but he made some nice passes and had a lot of assists. He's got to get into transition."
Arkansas Forward Charles Thomas
"This win feels good. It's good to win at home like we should. This was a very big game. Auburn is a good team and this was a hard win, but we can't stop here. Once we get rolling everything will fall into place. It is just a matter of us getting there."
Arkansas Forward Darian Townes
"We had to be strong tonight. They played hard tonight. Give credit to Auburn because they are a good team. We kept our minds focused tonight. Now we have got to get ready for LSU because they are another tough team."
Arkansas Guard Gary Ervin
"We had to win this ball game to stay in the race. At halftime, Coach told us that we have to step it up and we can't lose another game at home. I told the guys that this is a game we can still win; we just need to play with more energy and emotion. This was a win we had to have at home. Next, we have a tough game in Baton Rouge (against LSU). We need to continue to have a winning mentality."
Auburn Coach Jeff Lebo
"We played tough and fought hard. We tried to change up our defenses, but our turnovers killed us. We didn't do our job and we weren't strong with the ball. We had plenty of opportunities (to take the lead) but you can't win when you turn the ball over like we did."
"(Charles Thomas) brought experience, toughness and rebounding to the court."
Auburn Guard Quantez Robertson
"We had 12 turnovers in the second half, so we couldn't get enough shot attempts to get any closer than we did. They executed when we turned the ball over. We just have to be more careful with the ball. We have been way too careless lately."
Auburn Guard Frank Tolbert
"When you're on the road, you have to take advantage of every opportunity. Arkansas is a good team, and they capitalized on our mistakes. They have big bodies to go with their height. They weigh about 250, 260 (pounds) down there. It's hard to block them out and get rebounds."
