Opening Comments
"It's a matter of two different level programs. I thought we played scared tonight. How could you be scared of another college basketball player, regardless of their reputation or ranking. Not everyone did, but a majority of our guys played scared. That's unacceptable. Tennessee is a good team, they're huge, and they overwhelmed us on the backboard tonight. That's what cost us the game."

On Auburn's defense...
"Our defense was not very good. When you're afraid of someone, you get tentative. We were tentative defensively, and they took it right at us."

On the absence of Rob Chubb...
"I'm disappointed in Rob. He's suspended indefinitely for violation of team rules. He's suspended from all team activities, and that's all the details I'll give on that. We were starting to gain a nice rhythm with Rob. He was starting to become an offensive threat. Not having that tonight was a big hole. I'm disappointed in him, but whoever plays in his place needs to step up to the opportunity, and we didn't tonight."

On Continuing to make progress...
"Even though the record is what it is, I thought we were taking steps all year long. This is definitely a step back, because I thought we were playing timid, and we played intimidated."

#2 Allen Payne, F, Fr.

On a disappointing loss ...
"It's very disappointing. We felt like we had some confidence, especially after getting a win on the road in the SEC considering the way we have been playing. Just to come out flat and almost the total opposite of what we did against South Carolina, the word I would use is disappointed."

On being intimidated by Tennessee ...
"Yeah, I guess you could say that. Tennessee is a good team. They're big, fast and they didn't even have their best player tonight in Scotty Hopson. Once the ball goes up, all the anxiety and everything before the game has to go out the window, and everyone out there is a basketball player. We have to let all that stuff go, all the hype and hoopla coming in. We have to let it go when the game begins."

On preparing for Georgia ...
"We have to move forward. If we go into Georgia with this still on our mind, then it could be tough for us. We have to be mentally tough and let this one go. It's tough and it hurts to lose, but we have to move on and get ready for Georgia and try to turn this thing around."

On finding the motivation for Georgia ...
"I think we can take the same approach that we did with South Carolina. We're going up against a good team in the SEC at their place, and we have to come out and be mentally tough and let all the jitters and crowd noise go out our ears and play basketball. Once the ball goes up, we're all basketball players."

On being intimidated coming into the game versus Tennessee ...
"I'm not intimidated. You look at any team we play in the SEC, everyone is good and everyone can play. They do the same things that we do. In the preseason they condition as we do. They lift weights like we do. When the ball goes up, we all have to play, and we have to do what we can do to come out on top."

Opening statement ...
"Our mantra for the last four or five games is to defend and rebound. We built a wall, and we knew they were a shot challenge team to score. They don't shoot a good field goal percentage. We wanted them to make shots over us and wanted to continue to put pressure on them, and then rebound our defensive glass. In the first half we out-rebounded them 21 to seven and then it stayed the same in the second half, 38 to 24. I was happy about that. I was displeased with the turnovers early on. I thought that kept Auburn in the basketball game. Some of the turnovers were unforced, and that can't happen, especially on the road no matter who you are playing in the SEC. We have done a good job breaking down their multiple defenses, and we got a lot of points at the basket. That was one of our focuses."

On the team's focus tonight ...
"We were undermanned. Our leading scorer wasn't able to make the trip so we had some guys step up and make some plays, and that is what we needed. That is what we expect. Auburn is a capable team. They beat South Carolina at South Carolina. They beat Florida State here and played Florida and Alabama tough here. I know that because I watched the films of those games, and they were right there in those games. We had some trouble with them off the dribble. They took some of our big guys off the dribble a couple of times and kind of broke our defense down. However, we kept it together because we had secured a big lead the majority of the second half."

On Cameron Tatum...
"Cameron is a capable player. He is a veteran, he is an upperclassman, and he does things similar to Scotty. He can take the ball to the basket. He can knock down open jump shots. He can rebound the ball, and he can defend. He did all those things here tonight. I didn't want to get into a situation where I played him too many minutes. He got an extended stay on the bench which was good, but Cameron played good tonight.

#12 Tobias Harris, F, Fr.

On game-plan coming into the game....
"To come here on a road game to play our basketball and rebound the ball well. We knew we would come out with a victory after that."

On size advantage and how it helped out during the game ...
"It definitely helped us out. That is one of the things that has always been helping us out this year with our depth."

#33 Brian Williams, C, Sr.

On starting for a second game in a row and what his focus was ....
"For a second game in a row the main focus was, again, getting the ball inside the post and I think I have been taking advantage of that. We lost our great scorer in Scotty (Hopson) so everybody had to step up and I think everyone did that."

On how everybody had to step up with Scotty Hopson out of the lineup ...
"People always second guess why our coach has so many bench players and this is a perfect example. When somebody is injured, somebody always has to step up and that is what we did."

On how the team is playing better in the paint...
"I think the ball is going in. When we lose, we settle for too many jump shots and we are not effective in the post. When we do, we win games. We dominated the boards again and that was the mindset going in. That is why we got the victory."
