Auburn Head Coach Jeff Lebo

Opening comments...
"Congratulations to Vanderbilt. We knew they would want to play well at home after the stretch they've been through, a difficult stretch. In the first half, they took us out of what we wanted to do. The second half was difficult and they made some shots. [Alex] Gordon made some key plays. [A.J.] Ogilvy and [Shan] Foster you can rely on to be solid. Ogilvy, we just didn't know what to do with him. We don't match up well."

On problems due to Vanderbilt spreading the floor...
"Vanderbilt often used three shooters when we went zone; [Jermaine] Beal, [Alex] Gordon, and [Shan] Foster with [A.J.] Ogilvy out there. We don't have the size to play against them in there except for Quan [Prowell]."

On the loss...
"Frank [Tolbert]'s three fouls hurt us. Fouls in the first half hurt us with Quan [Prowell] on the bench. I didn't sub. We only have seven players. Six play and one didn't play well. It wears on us."

Vanderbilt Head Coach Kevin Stallings

Opening comments...
"I'm proud of our guys. Our defensive effort was good. I thought out effort on [Auburn's Frank] Tolbert was good, but he made some contested shots and some uncontested shots. To hold them to 37% and to rebound and do the things we did, I was happy. A.J. [Ogilvy] came back to life today and Shan [Foster] had a good second half. Our balance was key. [Alex Gordon] and Jermaine [Beal] made plays for us. Our bench was solid. It was a good win."

On the mindset when Auburn cut the lead to one point...
"We played that way all of the pre-season. We'd build a 15 or 20 point lead and watch it go away, so I guess we reverted back to how we played in the pre-season. Jermaine Beal hit a big three for us. We had a lot of guys step up and make plays."

On the team's senior leadership...
"With our players, if you call something to their attention, they'll do something about it. I met with our seniors on Thursday and things got better Thursday afternoon, they got better Friday, and they got better today. They'll lead us. It's easy when you lose four out of five games to get [down]. They know how to fight."

On Vanderbilt's play today...
"Our effort in converting from offense to defense was better. We played with more of a purpose, more energy, and more intensity today."

Senior Guard Shan Foster

On the importance of the win...
"Losing two games in a row kind of took a toll on us. We have a great team and we have great coaches. Our team chemistry is as good as it's been and we just continued to plug at it. We felt like we were at a point like we were a year ago when we lost to Furman and we were 1-3. Just like we did then, we pulled together as a team and we continued to fight and believe in each other."

On the meeting between the seniors and Coach Stallings...
"One of the main points that he made was that during that stretch when we were 16-0 he was saying numerous times that we have great leadership, and during that stretch when we were losing games, the seniors weren't stepping up to the plate and being leaders. He says all the time that it is easy to be a leader when things are going great, but true leaders are those that step up to the plate and show their leadership at times of adversity."

Freshman Center A.J. Ogilvy

On playing well...
"Obviously, I've been in a slump as of late and it was good to come back out and get to playing like I know I can and be more of a inside presence, and get a win."

On the difference between his play today and the last few games...
"I've been sick the last few games. I was feeling a lot better today and that obviously helped out a lot. I was really upset with how I've been playing the last two weeks and I really concentrated on trying to come out and stepping it up."
