Recap |  Box Score

Auburn Head Coach Jeff Lebo

Opening Statement...

"We shot the ball well, but we were a little lackadaisical at times, especially when we had a big lead in the second half. Rasheem Barrett had 10 rebounds and 24 points on 11 shots. Matt Heramb did well shooting from the perimeter. They had a lot of little guys who could run. They spread their offense out and were able to make baskets that way."

On playing between two SEC games...

"This was a tough game coming off an emotional win against a ranked Ole Miss team. We had to squeeze this game in somewhere, but I felt like this was a maturity test for our players."

On the season so far...

"When we do fundamental things we are effective. We have had to change our identity many times because we have lost so many players due to injuries. But the kids have been resilient through it all."

Auburn Junior Guard Rasheem Barrett

On his performance...

"I have been working on it. I have been in the gym a lot, trying to get better. Tonight it paid off. I have also been working on rebounding. Coach Dave Lebo reminded me how well I rebounded as a freshman, and that really stuck in my head how I need to get back to going hard to the boards."

On the team's standing...

"We are pretty good, but we can definitely be better. Excuses are not acceptable, we need to suck it up and play our game. We still have to put five men on the court every game and compete."

Presbyterian Head Coach Gregg Nibert

Opening Statement...

"I am so proud, they played with heart. They dug a deep hole at the beginning with turnovers and poor shot selection. Auburn played well and made unbelievable three's. They just beat a ranked Ole Miss team, but we battled and crawled back."

On Presbyterian's 16-0 run at the end of the second half...

"They have heart and character and gave everything they had. We had a tough time down low, and got in foul trouble. They had 43 points at the half because of turnovers and us not getting back on defense. We want them to play defense. We shot 40 and 50 percent from the 3 point line and made our free throws. We played a great game."

On Josh Johnson...

"He played his tail off. He made easy shots, made his three's, had nice finishes and blocks. The freshmen have a lot of athletic ability. We have height and athleticism but we need more depth and size for the future."

On SEC and ACC opponents...

"We expect to win, which is ludicrous, but we play everyone tough. We always talk about the win and we never want to expect to lose. Our opponents have guys that can play and their size and ability gets us. We will keep trying to find our perfect game until the season is over."

Presbyterian Freshman Guard Josh Johnson

On his high shooting percentage...

"I have been working real hard on my shot lately because of have been out of rhythm. So I have been shooting more in practice and staying late in the gym and working on it. Also I got a lot of open looks and kick-out passes from my teammates, and that really helped."

On playing an SEC team...

"We have played a lot of tough opponents this year like Ohio State, so I don't think it was hard for us to adjust to a higher level of play since we have seen a lot of it this season."
