Auburn Head Coach Jeff Lebo

On tonight's game...
"Well, the last game before SEC play, I thought offensively, we were pretty good. They played a lot of zone defense against us. Even though we made 13 threes, I still thought we had wide open looks, a lot of them we knocked down. I thought DeWayne Reed was outstanding tonight. They had one guy make three threes. He was 0-for-9 coming into this game. So we're pretty good at getting their guy, who has made no threes this year, and makes three in the game. They made some shots. They're not a good shooting team, but they shot it pretty good tonight."

On better defense in the last ten minutes...
"We changed defenses. The zone gave them different looks. We didn't turn the ball over and got high percentage looks."

On if the team is ready for SEC play...
"I hope, because it is coming if we're ready or not. We're still a little erratic at times. It's that time. South Carolina is coming in. They have a terrific player in Devin Downey who can beat you by himself. They have a good senior backcourt with Railey Ross. Our work will be cut out, they're very athletic team. A good shot blocking team. We haven't seen that kind of a shot blocking team since Florida State."

On if this was DeWayne Reed's best all-around game...
"I think the last two games, he's been really good. He was solid out there, took good shots, and got into the paint. He had six assists, zero turnovers. In the last game against Georgia Southern I thought he was terrific. He was under control. His decision making was good."

On Tay Waller lifting the team...
"He got off to a real hot start. I thought he got fatigued at times. I was worried, we made some shots early. I told them when we made our shots early don't abandon getting the ball inside but we still went out there and made a bunch of threes. They were wide open and they were our good shooters. It's hard to tell Frankie Sullivan to pass up an open three point shot. As good as he shoots it, I think it's going in everytime. Games like this, you get a shot by a shooter early in the possession and you want to try to that up to get a higher percentage shot."

Tay Waller, Guard

On 14 first half points...
"We came out kind of slow. I felt like if I could come out and get it going, hopefully the team would pick it up."

On team status going into SEC play...
"We've shown spurts at times but we still need to work on consistency. You can tell we will have two good possessions followed by two bad ones. I think we're ready. We just need to work on being more consistent with it."

On the teams shooting performance...
"In practice, coach has been stressing shot selection. We came in over the break and got in some extra work on our shooting. I think it's paying off right now."

On Auburn playing a five guard lineup...
"The other team went small. Our big man had some problems guarding their five man so we put Lucas (Hargrove) on him to even it out. "

West Georgia Head Coach Mike Cooney

On positives from game tonight...
"We have tired legs. We just came off two back-to-back games. We didn't get back to Carrolton until 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning. We did a good job of getting here and giving our best effort. I was real pleased with how we played tonight. You could tell we had some tired legs with guys who played 35 plus minutes both Saturday and Sunday. Julian Jones, coming off of a stomach virus, hung in there for us. I was really happy with Deon Sims. He made some 3-pointers that kept us in the game. Auburn just shot the ball real well tonight. Everytime we got close, they would hit a three."

On Auburn guard play...
"If we are at our very best and healthy, we are still going to have a hard time guarding this team off of the dribble. Auburn has a very high level of guard play. I had a hard time finding matchups when we were playing man to man. We are a two percent zone team, but for us to have a chance we had to play zone. Even our zone broke later on in the game. I give all the credit to Auburn. They are very good and very well coached. When you shoot the ball like Auburn did, it is very hard to get a win. We started playing well offensively and they switched to a 1-3-1 zone and stopped us."

On playing a high major opponent...
"Our kids were having to look over tree tops. Balls were being deflected left and right. They made a nice adjustment going to the zone. We started feeling pretty good about ourselves and they squashed us with the 1-3-1 zone. When you have that kind of length and quickness, it is impossible to simulate in practice."

Jeremy Smith, West Georgia, forward

On the teams overall performance...
We came out pretty good. We just kind of let it get away from us. We made some mistakes on rotating the ball on offense, but other than that we got better from tonight's game. We can learn from it and move on.

On getting to play an SEC team...
"It was very exciting coming to Auburn. With the history of their program and everything, it was a great experience playing in an SEC atmosphere and everything"

On what West Georgia did well tonight...
"I think we played hard. We didn't let the excitement get to us at the beginning of the game."

On what the team can take from tonight's game...
"I don't were going to play against another team like Auburn for the rest of our games, so this experience let us know what level we can play at."
