Corey Speights enters his fourth year at Auburn, including his third year as Video Coordinator. He worked as an Administrative Assistant under coach Tony Barbee in 2010-11.

Speights averaged 2.1 points in 7.4 minutes in 15 games off the bench for UTEP as a sophomore in 2006-07 while shooting 38.9 percent (7-of-18) from 3-point range and 7-of-7 from the foul line. He scored 18 of his 32 points against Southern Miss as he 9 had points in both games vs. the Golden Eagles, including shooting 6-of-9 from 3-point range. He scored seven points vs. UC Riverside and made his Miner debut vs. Texas Tech on Nov. 25.

Speights was a first-team All-Conference selection for Central Florida Community College in 2005-06 as he led the Patriots to a 21-10 record by averaging 10.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists.

Speights was named the Alabama Class 4A Player of the Year in 2004 as a senior at Livingston High School and was a finalist for Mr. Basketball in Alabama after averaging 24 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.4 assitss and 2.0 steals.

The Livingston, Ala., native totaled 33 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in the regional championship game vs. Choctaw County High in 2004. He was a national honor roll sutdent at Livingston.

Speights earned a bachelor's in General Studies from UTEP in 2008 and a master's in Health and Human Performance from North Alabama in 2010. Born Oct. 4, 1985, he is the son of Robert and Patricia Speights and has three brothers, John, Derrick and Robert Jr.
