Auburn head coach Tony Barbee Quotes
On the game...
"I was happy with our defense tonight. A little more attention to detail on the defensive end of the floor. That's all we did for the last two days, and it showed, and the outcome of us playing good defense is we were able to get out in transition."

On rebounding the basketball...
"It was even in the first half, and I challenged the guys to do a better job on the backboard, and I thought we did a better job collectively. We did that in the second half and we were able to get out in transition and we are pretty good when we get out in the open court."

On Alex Thompson...
"The next man has got to be ready, and Alex worked his tail of for this opportunity. I preach to my team that you have got to be ready for your opportunity because you don't know when it is coming. He has been working his tail off from the first day of practice until today, and he was ready for his opportunity."

On KT and Chris...
"Those two are a dangerous combination because they can score so many different ways. They can both shoot it, they can both drive it, and they can both create for their teammates so it is not just a one man show."

On Malcolm and Dion coming off the bench...
"I thought they looked good. If we can get 32 points off of the bench, we will take that every single night. That's the type of team that we should be. It's got to be our entire team, when they get their opportunity to be out there. Whatever the minutes, they have got to find a way to contribute."

Junior guard KT Harrell
On defense ...
"It was a lot better than last game. I think we scrambled, we communicated at a high level and that's what we were working on in practice before the game. We definitely took a step forward today but we still need to get a lot better."

On his and Chris Denson's scoring duo...
"We both are aggressive players. We try to look for not just our own shots but our teammates, for good looks. At the end of the day, we can't do it alone. Coach did a good job before the game letting everybody know that they can't do it by themself. Everybody did well and we got 32 points off the bench, so we need that every game."

On the importance of bouncing back after Northwestern State...
"You always want to bounce back. Especially when we play at home. I think coach did a great job of motivating us to not lose at home again."

Jacksonville State Head Coach James Green
On tonight's game...
"We were physically bad. We were mentally bad. We had no energy. Even though we had two or three guys who looked like they were fighting, we never had five guys on the same page offensively or defensively to give ourselves a chance in the game."

On Auburn's presence in the paint...
"They were long and had good length inside. It just wasn't from the paint. How many times was the ball shot from the perimeter that went over our head? We tell our guys to box out where the man is then you find the ball and see where it is. Then you attack the ball. We turned and the ball would go over our head. We won't play a team with this kind of size. Their effort was pretty good. They were coming off a situation where they were disappointed too. They needed to give a better effort. We have to do better rebounding, taking care of the ball and free throws. You don't give yourself a chance when you shoot 50% from the free throw line."
