Gray Completes Fall World Series Sweep With 10-7 Win On Sunday

AUBURN, Ala. - The Gray Team completed its sweep of the White Team with a 10-7 win in Sunday's Auburn Baseball Fall World Series Finale.

Slade Smith threw four scoreless innings as the Gray Team scored seven times in the sixth inning to build a 10-2 lead before holding on for the win.

Brian Fletcher and Ryan Jenkins each walked to start the seven-run sixth before back-to-back singles by Justin Bryant and Wes Gilmer scored a pair of runs. Dan Gamache followed with a two-RBI double and Casey McElory doubled in two more to close out the scoring for the inning.

Sean Ray collected the save in the seventh after the White Team scored five runs on a Hunter Morris grand slam and a Tony Caldwell solo shot.

The White Team had tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth on a Trent Mummey two-run home run.

Cory Luckie threw three scoreless innings in his start for the White Team, striking out five while allowing just one hit.

McElroy, Gilmer and Gamache all had two-hit days while Fletcher drew three walks and scored two runs.
