Kevin Patterson hit 11 home runs to claim the individual title of Home Run Derby Champion but once again it is the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lee County that is the biggest winner from the annual event. The 2010 edition raised $2,060 for the group through donations at the gates and pledges by sponsors and participants.

Patterson, who was the final hitter of the night, had the most home runs in the single-round event, smashing tape measure shots over the walls of Plainsman Park. A member of the Blue Team, he out-homered teammate Ryan Jenkins by just one as the former catcher hit 10.

Overall, the Blue Team hit 36 home runs while the Orange Team, which was led by Gabe Gross' seven, had 15.

Just under 1,000 fans attended the annual event, which was sponsored by the Auburn Diamond Club, Travel-Travel and Keystone Bank. Each of the alumni home run hitters also donated per home run hit by each of them.
