    *Auburn advanced to the NCAA Regionals for the 18th time and the first time since 2005 ... It was the fourth time Auburn Head Coach John Pawlowski had guided a team to a Regional berth, also doing it in 2004, 2005 and 2006 while the head coach at the College of Charleston

    * Auburn played host to a NCAA Regional for the fourth time in school history, also hosting in 1978, 1999 and 2003

    * Auburn finished the year ranked as high as 20th in the nation, marking only the 15th time in school history that the program was ranked at the end of the season

    * Auburn won the SEC West for the first time since 1995 with a school-record 20 SEC wins ... Auburn's other West Division Championships came in 1976 and 1980 while it won the SEC East in 1961, 1963, 1964, 1965 and 1967 ... Auburn went 11-4 against the SEC West

    * Auburn finished the year with 43 wins, the most since the team won 46 in 1999 ... The 43 wins rank seventh all-time in school history

    * Auburn set school records for batting average (.348), home runs (131), extra-base hits (293), total bases (1,385), slugging percentage (.591) and hit by pitches (73)

    * Hunter Morris established individual single-season school records for home runs (23) and total bases (202)

    * The team's .672 winning percentage (43-21) is the best winning percentage for an Auburn coach in his second season since Paul Nix guided the team to a .750 (21-7) winning percentage in his second year ... Head Coach John Pawlowski's .617 (74-46) two-year winning percentage is also the best by an Auburn coach in his first two years since Nix guided the team to a 38-15 mark (.717) in 1963-64

    * Auburn led the nation in home runs (131), home runs per game (2.05) and slugging percentage (.591) ... Auburn had never finished as the national leader in any team category prior to 2010

     

     

    * Auburn also was among the nation's top 10 teams in batting average (.348 - sixth), scoring (9.1 R/g - ninth), runs (584 - sixth) and hits (816 - second)

    * Auburn homered in a school record 27 consecutive games from April 9-May 22 after hitting in 14 straight from March 5-26 ... The previous record was 13 consecutive games with a home run, which was done in both 1983 and 1998 ... Auburn hit at least one home run in 56 out of 64 games and only failed to hit at least one home run in consecutive games twice

    * Auburn his a school record seven home runs in a 16-14 win over Mississippi State on May 8 ... Of the seven home runs, four of them came in the fifth inning, tying the school record for home runs in a single inning, done twice in 2009

    * Auburn hit multiple home runs in 39 games, hitting four-or-more home runs nine times

    * Auburn's 131 home runs accounted for 224 of the team's 584 runs (38 percent) as the team hit 68 solo home runs, 37 two-run home runs, 22 three-run home runs and four grand slams

    * Hunter Morris was named the SEC Player of the Year, becoming Auburn's first conference Player of the Year since Tim Hudson in 1997 ... He also became just the second player in league history to be named both the SEC Freshman of the Year and the SEC Player of the Year in a career

    * Hunter Morris was named a First Team All-American by Baseball America, the NCBWA, Rivals.com and Ping!Baseball.com and a Second Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball ... He became the 22nd player in Auburn history to be named an All-American and the first since John Madden in 2005 ... He is also Auburn's first position player All-American since Grabe Gross and Todd Faulkner in 2000, which were also Auburn's last First Team All-Americans

    * Brian Fletcher was named a Second Team All-American by the NCBWA ... He joined Hunter Morris as just the fourth pair of Auburn teammates to be named All-Americans in the same season, joining Todd Faulkner, Gabe Gross and Chris Bootcheck in 2000, Casey Dunn and Brent Schoening in 1999, and Mark Bellhorn, Ryan Halla and Finley Woodward in 1995.

    * Auburn had six players named to All-SEC Teams: Brian Fletcher (OF), Trent Mummey (OF), Hunter Morris (1B) and Kevin Patterson (DH) were named to the First Team; Grant Dayton (SP) and Ryan Jenkins (C) were named to the Second Team

    * Trent Mummey (OF) was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team for the second straight season

    * Cory Luckie was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for baseball, marking the second straight season that Auburn has produced that award winner ... Ben Jones took home that award in 2009

    * A school record 11 players were drafted out of Auburn ... That tied a SEC record for players drafted in a single season and also tied UCLA for a 2010 MLB Draft High ... Drafted was Trent Mummey (4th Rd / 118th overall / Baltimore), Hunter Morris (4th Rd / 129th / Milwaukee), Cole Nelson (10th Rd / 313th / Detroit), Grant Dayton (11th Rd / 347th / Florida), Austin Hubbard (14th Rd / 431st / Tampa Bay), Ryan Jenkins (17th Rd / 509th / Kansas City), Brian Fletcher (18th Rd / Kansas City / 539th), Kevin Patterson (23rd Rd / 701st / Tampa Bay), Bradley Hendrix (30th Rd / 907th / Cincinnati), Justin Fradejas (35th Rd / 1,070th / Colorado) and Stephen Kohlscheen (45th Rd / 1,362nd / Seattle)

    * Auburn was 30-9 at home, marking the first time in school history Auburn had won 30 games at Plainsman Park in a single season ... The .769 home winning percentage was the best since 2002 when the team was 26-7 (.788) at home

    * Auburn hit .370 at home and hit 80 of the team's 131 home runs (61 percent) at Plainsman Park ... Auburn outscored its opponents by an average margin of 9.87 to 6.23 in Plainsman Park as Auburn's pitching staff had a 5.15 ERA in its home park and opponents had a 9.43 ERA on Auburn's home field

    * Auburn dominated left-handed pitching at home, going 17-1 against southpaws in Plainsman Park and 20-4 against lefties overall ... Auburn's lone home loss to a left-hander came against Clemson starter Casey Harman in the NCAA Regional winner's bracket game, a 5-2 loss

    * Auburn was 38-2 when leading after seven and 39-1 when leading after eight but was just 2-15 when trailing after seven and 1-18 when trailing after eight ... The lone victory when trailing after eight came in the NCAA Regional elimination game against Clemson on Sunday which Auburn won, 11-10, after trailing 9-8 going to the ninth on Creede Simpson's three-run home run ... The other win when trailing after seven came in the final weekend of the regular season as Auburn trailed at Ole Miss, 3-2, after seven before winning 5-3 on a Kevin Patterson pinch-hit home run

    * Auburn was 8-0 in series finale's at home and 12-2 overall thanks in large part to LHP Grant Dayton, who went 8-3 on the season and was used primarily as the series finale starter

    * Auburn went 22-4 when Justin Bryant was in the starting lineup ... Bryant (.323 batting average) hit safely in 21 of the 26 games he started ... Played all three infield positions as well as left field

    *Auburn scored 584 runs, which is third all-time in Auburn history ... The 9.13 R/g is fourth all-time ... The school record for runs is 613 in 1997 and 9.30 R/g in 1998

    * Auburn posted its first sweep of an SEC opponent since 2003 when it swept Georgia to open the conference season ... It was Auburn's first sweep in 68 conference series ... Auburn would post three SEC sweeps on the season, also sweeping Mississippi State and Ole Miss ... Auburn avoided being swept for the entire SEC season, marking the first time since 2003 it did not suffer a sweep

    * Auburn went 12-3 in the second half of the SEC season to win the SEC West with a 20-10 league record ... Auburn completed sweeps of Mississippi State and at Ole Miss and won home series from Kentucky and Tennessee and on the road at Arkansas to claim the West

    * Auburn was picked to finish fifith in the SEC West by Baseball America, the SEC Coaches, SEBaseball.com and Rivals.com but instead went 20-10 to win the West

    *Auburn went 1-2 at the SEC Tournament, losing to runner-up Alabama (7-1) in the opening round and defeating South Carolina (3-1, 12 innings) in a loser's bracket game before being eliminated by Ole Miss (10-7, 10 innings) on Friday

    * Auburn secured its first SEC Tournament berth since the 2003 season, a span of six straight seasons without playing the league tournament ... Since Auburn last made the tournament, every team in the league had gone at least twice and two teams (Ole Miss and South Carolina) had been to all six ... Auburn did finish in a three-way tied for eighth in 2005 but lost out on the three-way tiebreaker with Arkansas and Vanderbilt

    * Hunter Morris delievered the school record-breaking 104th home run of the season to lead off the fifth inning on Sunday against Tennessee ... Auburn led the league in home runs with 131, marking the first time Auburn led the SEC in home runs since 1982 (57 homers)
