Senior right-handed pitcher Bradley Hendrix was drafted for the second time in his career on Tuesday as Tampa Bay made him its 22nd-round pick in the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft.

A 30th-round pick in 2010 by Cincinnati, Hendrix returned to Auburn for his final season. In 13 appearances this season, he had a career-best 4.82 ERA in 28 innings, striking out 18.

Owning a career 5.40 ERA in 78 appearances, his 68 career relief appearances are tied for sixth all-time in Auburn history with Steven Register.

Sporting a 14-8 career record, he was 2-1 in 2011 mostly out of the bullpen, picking up a win over Alabama in the Capital City Classic with three shutout innings.

Hendrix was the fourth current player from Auburn to be drafted in 2011, joining Dan Gamache (sixth round, Pittsburgh), Casey McElroy (11th round, San Diego) and Derek Varnadore (17th round, Florida).
