AUBURN, Ala. -- The Auburn Tigers begin a four-game homestand to close out the 2014 regular season with a non-conference game against in-state rival UAB at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The Tigers (27-25) seek to bounce back after dropping two of three games at Kentucky over the weekend and carry some momentum into the final SEC series of the season against LSU, which begins Thursday at Plainsman Park.
Meanwhile, UAB (34-16) is looking to extend the nation's sixth-longest active winning streak and play its way into contention for an at-large NCAA bid. The Blazers come into Tuesday's game having won 10 straight, including two straight Conference USA series. The Blazers are a game behind Rice for the C-USA title with one week left in the season.
One streak will have to end Tuesday night - UAB has won its last 10 games in a row, and Auburn has beaten UAB 15 consecutive times.
Rod Bramblett and Andy Burcham will be on the mic for the radio broadcast on the Auburn IMG Sports Network, which can be heard locally in Auburn on WGGZ 94.3 FM. Fans can access live audio, video and stats at AuburnTigers.com. Fans can also follow @AUTigerBaseball on Twitter for inning-by-inning updates throughout the game.
