AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn will wrap up the non-conference portion of its schedule on Tuesday night at Plainsman Park when it plays host to Georgia Southern at 6pm CT. Tuesday is Two Dollar Tuesday and Auburn City Schools Night.

Auburn (28-24) is 19-6 in non-conference action this season and will send So. RHP Ty Kelley (0-0, 3.86) to the hill against Georgia Southern's Andy Moye (5-1, 6.09).

Georgia Southern brings a 35-14 overall record into Tuesday's game.

Popcorn flyers were distributed to all students/teachers middle school and below. Kids and teachers may redeem the top portion of the flyer at the concession stand for a free box of popcorn and redeem the tear-off voucher at the bottom for one free admission.

AUBURN HEADLINES

AUBURN VS GEORGIA SOUTHERN: Auburn will be facing Georgia Southern for just the second time in school history ... The only other meeting between the two teams came on May 27, 2000, in a second round NCAA Regional game at Georgia Tech ... Auburn won that game, 11-5, behind Levale Speigner's 6 2/3 innings of work in which he allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk, striking out four ... Gabe Gross and Todd Faulkner each went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in the game as Auburn jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three-and-a-half innings.

AUBURN-GEORGIA SOUTHERN CONNECTIONS: So. OF Brian Fletcher's father, Scott Fletcher, was a first round pick (sixth overall) out of Georgia Southern in 1979 by the Chicago Cubs ... The elder Fletcher played 15 big league seasons with six different clubs but spent the majority of his career with the Chicago White Sox ... Scott Fletcher hit a team-best .412 in `79 (his only year at GSU), which still ranks seventh at the school, collecting 99 hits and scoring 75 runs while stealing 30 bases, all of which are still in the Georgia Southern Top 10 Single-Season record lists ... At the end of the season he was named a Sporting News All-America (SS) and was later inducted into the GSU Hall of Fame in 1991.

PAWLOWSKI VS. GEORGIA SOUTHERN AS A HEAD COACH: Auburn Head Coach John Pawlowski owns a 17-16 career record against Georgia Southern as a head coach as the two battled as Southern Conference opponents while Pawlowski was at the College of Charleston ... In 2005, Pawlowski's CofC Cougars knocked of Georgia Southern in the championship game of the SoCon Tournament to advance to a second consecutive NCAA Regional.

PAWLOWSKI VS. GEORGIA SOUTHERN AS A PLAYER: Auburn Head Coach John Pawlowski was a part of a Clemson team that owned Georgia Southern during his three years as Clemson went 7-1 against the Eagles from 1983-85.

AUBURN ELIMINATED FROM SEC TOURNAMENT CONTENTION: Auburn will enter this weekend's series against No. 10 Alabama in 10th place in the SEC, 2.0 games behind Kentucky for ninth and 3.5 games behind eighth-place Vanderbilt with three to play ... Auburn will miss the SEC Tournament for a sixth consecutive year, last advancing to the tournament in 2003.

MISSING JOE: Auburn has gone 1-8 in SEC play since losing Jr. IF Joseph Sanders to a broken jaw on Tuesday, April 21 ... The team has scored just 38 runs in his absense (4.22 R/g) while allowing 66 runs (7.33 R/g) ... Before the injury, Auburn was 8-10 in the SEC.

AUBURN HITS THE CENTURY MARK: So. OF Brian Fletcher's second home run on Sunday at Kentucky helped Auburn crack the 100 home run mark on the season ... Auburn needs to hit two more home runs over its final four games to become the 20th team in SEC history to tally at least 102 home runs ... The SEC record for home runs in 56 games is 107, set by Tennessee in 1998.

NO MORE THAN FOUR: Auburn has allowed four-or-less earned runs 17 times and is 16-1 in those contests but is just 12-23 when allowing five-or-more earned runs ... Before Sunday's 7-5 win over Kentucky in which the team surrendered four earned runs, the last time Auburn allowed four-or-less earnies was on April 18th at South Carolina in a 6-4 win ... Since that game, Auburn has played 13 games and has allowed at least six earned runs 10 times, going 2-8 ... The three exceptions are the three games against Kentucky in which the staff allowed five earned runs in both losses and four in the win.

LOW WATER MARK: The Auburn pitching staff had a 4.78 ERA during the Kentucky series, the lowest ERA for a three-game SEC series this season and the lowest since having a 4.26 ERA in its series with Ole Miss in 2008 ... Auburn dropped its season ERA from 6.28 before the series started to 6.19 after the series.

STATISTICAL ODDITY: Auburn's home run total (100) still remains higher than the team's doubles total (95) ... Auburn has collected 208 extra-base hits on the season, which ranks tied for seventh all-time at Auburn.

AU VS. THE EAST: Auburn has picked up seven of its nine SEC wins against teams from the East, winning 2-of-3 against both Tennessee and Vanderbilt and picking up single wins against Florida, Kentucky and South Carolina.
