AUBURN, Ala. -
Auburn University will honor retiring Mississippi State head baseball coach Ron Polk in pre-game ceremonies on Friday evening at Plainsman Park.
The ceremony will take place approximately 10 minutes prior to the scheduled 6 p.m. game between Auburn and Mississippi State.
Polk, in his 35th year as a collegiate head coach, is set to retire following the 2008 season. Former Auburn baseball coach Hal Baird will be on hand to present Polk with gifts in honor of Polk's career and retirement.
The Tigers and Bulldogs square off Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in Polk's last visit to Auburn.
Tickets for the three-game series are available and may be purchased two hours prior to first pitch each day.
