Auburn went 2-2 last week, moving to 21-16 overall, 6-9 in Southeastern Conference play ... The Tigers snapped a four-game skid with a 6-0 win over Troy at home Tuesday night in non-conference action ... Auburn got the weekend series with archrival Alabama off to a strong start with a 2-1 win in the series opener Friday night ... Alabama came back for a 4-1 win Saturday and a walk-off 4-3 win on Sunday to claim the series ... Auburn has now lost three straight SEC series after winning its first two ... The Tigers have not won a series in Tuscaloosa since 2004 ... Senior Dillon Ortman and freshman Keegan Thompson combined to hold the Crimson Tide to one run in Friday’s win as Ortman picked up his team-leading sixth win of the season ... Thompson made his first relief appearance in Friday’s game, pitching two shutout innings and picking up his first career save ... Senior Dan Glevenyak set an Auburn record and tied an SEC record as he was hit by a pitch four times in Friday’s game ... It marked the 21st time in NCAA history that a player was hit by pitch four times in the same game; he was one HBP shy of the all-time record ... For his career, Glevenyak has been plunked 23 times, which ranks him ninth in Auburn history ... In Saturday’s game, the Tigers tied a school record by turning four double plays ... It was the first time for Auburn to accomplish the feat since May 19, 2012, against Florida ... Sunday’s game marked the second time in as many weeks for the Tigers to lose in walk-off fashion as Keegan Thompson was charged with the loss ... Seven freshmen were in the starting lineup for Auburn in Sunday’s game, a season-high ... Senior Ryan Tella went 4-for-5 in Tuesday’s win over Troy, his fourth career game with four or more hits, but he was hitless in two games on the weekend ... Freshman Brett Binning led Auburn’s offense for the week, going 4-for-7 (.571) in his two starts at second base ... Freshman Damon Haecker hit .357 for the week (5-14) with two runs and an RBI ... Haecker enters this week on a nine-game hitting streak and a 12-game reached base streak ... Sophomore Trey Wingenter pitched five innings of scoreless relief across two appearances on the week ... Auburn’s bullpen had one of its most productive weeks of the season, compiling a 1.31 ERA in 20.2 innings pitched, giving up just four runs during the week ... The Tigers will wrap up a four-game road swing Tuesday night at Samford ... SEC play resumes at Plainsman Park this weekend as Auburn hosts South Carolina for a three-game series Friday-Sunday.
