- Winners of four of its last five and coming off of a series win at then No. 18 Texas A&M, the Auburn baseball team (20-13, 3-9 SEC) welcomes Georgia (12-22, 2-10 SEC) to Plainsman Park for a three-game series. Game times are 6pm on Friday, 3pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday and all will broadcast live on the Auburn Baseball Radio Network.

Auburn will employ the same starting rotation as it used in last week's series win, throwing three straight left-handers. Conner Kendrick (2-1, 1.98 ERA) gets the ball on Friday, Michael O'Neal (6-2, 2.37) toes the rubber on Saturday and Will Kendall (0-3, 4.97) gets the call on Sunday.

Auburn Downs Georgia, 3-2, In SEC Tournament Elimination Game
Justin Bryant got a line-out from Georgia's Colby May with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the ninth as the Auburn baseball team survived an elimination game with a 3-2 win on Wednesday afternoon at the SEC Tournament at Regions Park. The win improved Auburn's record to 31-27 and kept the team at the tournament for at least one more day, where it will face the loser of the Vanderbilt-South Carolina game at 4:30pm on Thursday on CSS.

Georgia will start left-hander Patrick Boling (2-4, 3.65 ERA) on Friday, right-hander Sean McLaughlin (4-2, 2.60) on Saturday and lefty Jared Walsh (1-3, 2.95) on Sunday.

Auburn is led at the plate by senior first baseman Garrett Cooper, who leads the team in average (.343), doubles (nine), home runs (four), RBI (27), slugging percentage (.562), walks (26) and on base percentage (.493) while freshman Jordan Ebert, who is second on the team with a .310 batting average, carries a 10-game hitting streak into the weekend, his second double-digit hit streak of the season.

Auburn's pitching staff boasts a 3.33 ERA, the lowest it has been this deep into a season since the 2002 staff. Along with Kendrick and O'Neal, reliever Justin Camp also sports a sub three ERA, checking in at 2.16 to go along with his three wins and one save in 25 innings out of the bullpen.

Friday night is Military Appreciation Night and the first 500 fans through the gates will receive a digital camo drawstring backpack courtesy of Logan Square Apartments. The first 750 fans into Saturday's game will receive an Auburn baseball pennant courtesy of Golden Flake. Sunday is Family Day and fans can buy three tickets and get one free (advance purchase only-promo code FAMILY). All youth 12-and-under will be able to run the bases following the game.



Saturday morning will also feature the annual Strike Out Cancer 5K at 10am. Race registration begins at 8:30am and the cost is $20, with all proceeds benefitting the East Alabama Cancer Center. Participants will receive a t-shirt and free admission to Saturday's game.
