The Auburn baseball team will play Wofford for the first time in program history on Wednesday night when the two teams square off at 6pm at Plainsman Park.
Auburn is 16-12 on the season while Wofford is 13-16 going into a Tuesday night game against Winthrop.
Auburn will start freshman right-hander Trey Wingenter (1-0) for the second consecutive midweek game while Wofford will wait until after Tuesday night's game to determine its starter.
Auburn goes into the week leading the SEC in doubles with 57, led by Garrett Cooper and Damek Tomscha's eight each. Tomscha also brings a personal-best seven-game hitting streak into the contest (10-23, .435).
After Wednesday's game, Auburn will travel to College Station, Texas, for its' first-ever series against Texas A&M. Game times for the series are 6:30pm on Friday, 2pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday.
Wednesday is Project Uplift Night as well as Pop Fly Wednesday. Anytime the Auburn defense records a pop fly out, bags of popcorn will be thrown into the crowd.
