TEAM NOTES
* Auburn went 1-3 last week to drop to 16-12, 1-8 SEC

* Two different players saw career-long hitting streaks come to an end as Cullen Wacker's 10-game hitting streak was snapped in the loss at Troy and Garrett Cooper's nine-game hitting streak was snapped on Sunday in the loss to Alabama

* Damek Tomscha now has the longest current hitting streak on the team at seven ... Tomscha is the only Auburn player hitting above .300 in league play and he checks in at .345 with a .448 slugging percentage and a .457 on base percentage

* Junior catcher Blake Austin caught his 30th man stealing over the weekend, moving him into fifth-place all by himself in Auburn history in caught stealing by ... Ahead of Austin are Tony Caldwell (59), Casey Dunn (57), Josh Bell (39) and Bobby Huddleston (35)

* As a team, Auburn hit three home runs over the weekend - one each by Blake Austin, Hunter Kelley and Garrett Cooper - to give the team nine on the season

 

 

* Despite being tagged for 11 runs over the weekend, Auburn's pitching staff had a 1.00 ERA in the series against Alabama, surrendering just three earned runs ... The staff ERA actually dropped from a 3.68 following last weekend to a 3.38 following this weekend

* Junior Will Kendall and Daniel Koger combined to two-hit Alabama on Sunday in a 2-0 loss ... The two hits were the fewest allowed by Auburn since Derek Varnadore two-hit Radford on Feb. 27, 2011 and it was the first combined two-hitter since Slade Smith, Stephen Kohlscheen, Garrett Bush and Chris O'Neal two-hit Alabama A&M on March 17, 2010

* The series against Alabama drew 11,589 fans to Plainsman Park, which was the third-largest three-game series attendance in park history

* Auburn faces two new opponents this week as it plays host to Wofford and then heads to new conference mate Texas A&M this weekend.
