The Auburn baseball team will play host to Belmont for a three-game series beginning Friday at 6pm in the final non-conference weekend of the year for Auburn. The two teams enter the game with nearly identical records as Auburn is 8-6 following Tuesday night's win over Alabama in the Capital City Classic and Belmont is 8-5 after midweek wins over Vanderbilt and Murray State.
This weekend's meeting will be the first between the two programs.

AUBURN ALL-TIME VS. BELMONT
Auburn and Belmont are meeting for the first time on the baseball field ... Belmont defeated cross-town rival Vanderbilt, 6-5, on Tuesday at home, it's first win over Vanderbilt since 2009, and only the fifth time in the NCAA era.
RUN LIKE THE WIND
Auburn leads the nation with 44 stolen bases (in 57 attempts, 77 percent) and has matched what the team did in 58 games in 2011 ... Auburn's current pace of 3.08 steals per game is second nationally to Texas A&M's 3.08 (37 steals in 12 games) and has it ending the regular season with 176 steals ... The Auburn record for stolen bases in a season is 116 in 1974 and the team has eclipsed the century mark just two other times, in 2007 (105) and 1971 (101) ... The SEC record is 215 done by Tennessee in 63 games in 2000.

Jay Gonzalez leads the league and is second nationally in triples (three) and leads the SEC and is second nationally in stolen bases (13) ... Ryan Tella is the league leader in walks (15) ... Dan Glevenyak is the SEC leader in sac bunts.
HITTING WITH MEN IN SCORING POSITION
Auburn is fourth in the SEC in batting average at .324 and is 58-for-196 (.296) with runners in scoring position, which is eighth in the SEC ... When Auburn has a runner on third and less than two out the team average goes up to .646 (31-for-48) which is the seventh-best average in the league and the fourth-most opportunities.
TELLA ME ABOUT IT
Ryan Tella's on a team-best eight game hitting streak and has been even better over the last 10 ... Tella has reached base safely in each of the last 10 games with 19 hits and 14 walks (.459 average, .608 on base percentage) and is hitting .486 (17-35, 5 R, 5 SB) during his hitting streak ... He is also currently tied with Creede Simpson for the most multi-hit games with nine, seven of which have come in the last seven games.
Creede Simpson has been on a tear over the last 10 games, hitting .405 (17-42) with three doubles, a team-high 12 RBIs, a team-high 10 steals and 11 runs scored, which is second only to Jay Gonzalez' 13.
Dan Glevenyak had a night to remember in the Capital City Classic, winning MVP honors after driving in a career-high three RBIs on a career-high three hits to go along with his fifth sac bunt of the season ... Currently riding a seven-game hitting streak (13-29, .448, eight runs scored) he has four multi-hit games during the streak and five on the season.
