TEAM NOTES
- Auburn went 2-2 last week, falling to Kennesaw State and Eastern Illinois in back-to-back games in the first-ever meetings between the two schools before taking the final two games of the series against Eastern Illinois to improve to 8-3 on the season

- Auburn has now trailed in nine of its 11 games and come-from-behind to win six times

- Freshman second baseman Jordan Ebert hit safely in all four games last week and now has a team-best nine-game hitting streak, hitting safely in all nine games he has played in ... Against Eastern Illinois, Ebert hit .583 (7-for-12) with a double, RBI and three runs scored, also drawing a walk ... Ebert is now hitting a team-best .424 with a double, five runs scored and three RBI, hitting in the nine hole in all nine games

- Senior first baseman Garrett Cooper has a six-game hitting streak intact after hitting .615 (8-for-13) over the last week, collecting two doubles, a triple, scoring three runs and driving in five

- Rocky McCord (1-0) earned his first career win in Sunday's series-clincher, going a career-long six innings and striking out a career-high six ... He joined Michael O'Neal (3-0) as the only Auburn starting pitchers to record wins on the season

 

 

- Auburn's offense cranked out double-digit hits in all three games against Eastern Illinois and hit .333 as a team

- Junior catcher Blake Austin threw out the only runner attempting to steal on him this week, giving him 24 career caught stealing by

- With two wins, head coach John Pawlowski now has 142 career wins at Auburn and he needs just three more to tie Steve Renfroe (2001-04) for third all-time

- Auburn travels to Montgomery to face Alabama in the fifth annual Capital City Classic on Tuesday ... Auburn has won each of the previous four Classic's ... Following the non-conference game in Montgomery, Auburn returns home to face Brown, a team it last faced in 2009 and swept a four-game series from.

Cullen Wacker
- .500 (7-for-14) for the week with two doubles, a triple, three runs scored and a team-best seven RBI
- Was a home run shy of the cycle on Saturday in the series-evening, 14-7 win over Eastern Illinois, finishing 4-for-5 with four RBI
- Is now second on the team in hitting at .364 (12-for-33) with three doubles, a triple, four runs scored and 10 RBI

Rocky McCord
- Earned his first career win with a career-long six innings of shutout baseball
- Surrendered three hits and walked three while striking out a career-best six
- Allowed just one runner to reach third in his six innings of work

Jordan Ebert
- Team's leading hitter at .424 (14-for-33) and has scored five runs and driven in three RBI
- On a team-best nine-game hitting streak, hitting safely in all nine games he has appeared in while batting in the nine hole in the lineup
- Hit .583 (7-for-12) against Eastern Illinois with a double, three runs scored an a RBI
