AUBURN, Ala. -- The Auburn baseball team will look to build on its mid-week win as they welcome Presbyterian College for a three-game series Friday-Sunday at Plainsman Park.

Friday's game is set for a 6 p.m. start, Saturday's game will begin at 3 p.m. and Sunday's game is slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch.

Auburn (4-4) is coming off a 7-3 victory over Alabama A&M on Tuesday at Plainsman Park, which snapped a two-game skid. The Tigers pounded out a season-high 11 hits in the victory. Presbyterian (4-3-1) has dropped its last two contests to Wofford and No. 11 Clemson, and its other loss came to No. 3 South Carolina. The Blue Hose have two wins over Savannah State, wins over USC Upstate and Fordham, and a 13-inning tie with North Carolina Central.

The Tigers will start senior RHP Dillon Ortman (2-0, 0.69), giving him his third-straight Friday start. He has been outstanding in his first two appearances, giving up just one earned run on nine hits in 13.0 innings pitched. In his last outing, he pitched a career-long 8.0 innings against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and struck out a career-high 11 hitters in the win. He will face Presbyterian LHP Beau Dees (2-0, 1.35), who earned his wins over Savannah State and USC Upstate with 15 strikeouts over 13.1 innings pitched.

Freshman RHP Keegan Thompson (1-0, 0.64) gets the ball for the Tigers on Saturday after two dominating performances to begin his career. He was saddled with a no-decision in his last outing, despite giving up just one earned run to ETSU and retiring 16 batters in a row at one point. For Presbyterian, it will be RHP Chandler Knox (2-0, 1.38), who earned PC's other two wins against Savannah State and Fordham. He has given up just two earned runs in 13.0 innings while scattering 12 hits and walking none.

Sunday's game will feature Auburn sophomore RHP Trey Wingenter (0-0, 0.00), who will be making his first start of the season. He has one appearance on the year, tossing a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts last Saturday against Cal. Presbyterian will counter with LHP Hayden Deal (0-1, 2.92), who took the loss to Wofford and also was the starter in PC's tie against N.C. Central.

Andy Burcham and Van Riggs will have the call of Friday's game on WINGS 94.3 FM in the Auburn Area. Riggs will team up with Joe Beckwith for the weekend games, which can be heard locally on WANI 1400 AM/98.7 FM. AuburnTigers.com will have live video via AUHD and live stats for all three games.
