The Auburn baseball team will play host to a four-team, round-robin tournament this weekend at Plainsman Park. The tournament is set to begin on Friday at noon CT when the College of Charleston takes on Indiana State. Auburn will face Middle Tennessee State at 4pm. Both game times have been moved up two hours from the previously scheduled start time due to the forecasted rain.

Auburn is 4-0 after sweeping a four-game series from Maine on opening weekend. The 4-0 start is Auburn's best since 2008 and it marks the 18th time since 1949 that Auburn has won its first four games. Auburn will look to get to 5-0 on Friday when it sends sophomore left-handed pitcher Daniel Koger (0-0, 0.00 ERA) to the mound opposite Middle Tennessee State's right-handed pitcher Hunter Adkins (1-0, 0.00). Auburn's last 5-0 start was in 2001 when the program rattled off 13 straight wins to start the season.

Brooks Beisner finished with three RBIs and was a triple shy of the cycle while Zach Alvord went 2-for-4 with three RBIs as the No. 25 Auburn baseball team defeated No. 18 College of Charleston, 7-4, on Saturday afternoon at The Ballpark at Patriots Point. Derek Varnadore improved to a perfect 3-0 for Auburn, working into the seventh while scattering four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out five.

Auburn came from behind to win all four of its games last weekend, highlighted by a Damek Tomscha walk-off home run on Opening Day. The four comeback wins is almost half of the nine Auburn posted in all of 2012.
