Auburn Ranked No. 23 In NCBWA Preseason Baseball Poll

Auburn is ranked No. 23 in the 2011 Preseason NCBWA Division I Poll, released Monday afternoon.

Auburn has been consistently ranked No. 23 heading into the season as the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll had the team in the same spot, as did Kendall Rogers of

Auburn is coming off a season in which it went 43-21 overall and won the Southeastern Conference's Western Division with a 20-10 record. Following the SEC Tournament, Auburn was picked as one of 16 NCAA Regional host sites.

Auburn began spring practice on Friday, Jan. 28, with the first of three weekend scrimmages.

Auburn's scrimmages this week will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with all four slated to start at 4pm.

Auburn opens the 2011 season on Friday, Feb. 18, when it plays host to Arkansas State at 6pm.
