Auburn senior Derek Sain drew a pair of walks and scored a pair of runs while classmate Tyler Johnstone stroked three hits in the final collegiate game for both as Auburn fell to #15 Arkansas, 11-2, on Saturday afternoon in the season finale for the Tigers. The loss closed the books on the season for the Tigers, who finished the year 22-34, 9-21 SEC.

Johnstone singled in Sain for the first run of the game in the top of the second only to see the Hogs respond with two in the bottom half of the inning on Brian Walker's third home run of the weekend, a two-run shot off the scoreboard in right-center.

Arkansas' Danny Hamblin and David Hum then hit back-to-back homers with two outs in the third to make it 4-1 and the Hogs piled it on from there on out, scoring three in the fourth, three in the fifth and one in the seventh.

Auburn starter Chris Dennis (3-7) was charged with seven runs, six earned, on seven hits and three walks while striking out three in taking the loss.

UA starter Shaun Seibert pitched 5.0 innings to move to 4-0 on the season for the Razorbacks, allowing one run on five hits while striking out seven.

Freshman Ryan Jenkins had the first multi-hit game of his career for the Tigers, going 3-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Johnstone also collected three hits in his final game, going out with a 3-for-5 performance with an RBI.

Arkansas finished the regular season 38-17, 18-12 SEC.

The game was the final game in the careers of the four Auburn seniors - Jeff Boutwell, Grant Cardwell, Johnstone and Sain.
