Final Stats

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Auburn baseball team could muster just one run on six hits as it dropped the second game of a doubleheader, 4-1, at Missouri on Sunday afternoon. The two Sunday losses dropped Auburn's record to 25-18, 7-14 SEC while Missouri improved to 15-24, 7-14 SEC.

"We didn't do the things we set out to do," Auburn Head Coach John Pawlowski said. "Give (Missouri) credit. They out-pitched us, they out-played us and certainly out-hit us."

Missouri starter Brett Graves (1-5) earned his first win of the season, allowing just one unearned run in five innings of a seven-inning game. He held Auburn to three hits and walked two while striking out one.

Reliever Justin Camp (4-1) took the loss for Auburn, allowing a tie-breaking home run to Keaton Steele as part of Missouri's three-run fourth.

Auburn took advantage of a passed ball to take a 1-0 lead in the third. Hunter Kelley and Kody Ortman both walked and were moved into scoring position by a Dan Glevenyak sacrifice bunt. Graves' pitch then eluded catcher Dylan Kelly and went all the way to the backstop, allowing Kelley to come home.

Missouri answered in the bottom half of the inning as it loaded the bases on three straight singles, knocking Auburn starter Daniel Koger out of the game. Camp came in and got a double play out of Dillon Everett, but a run scored on the play to tie the game at 1-1.

Camp surrendered a leadoff home run to Steele to start the fourth, giving Missouri a 2-1 lead. The home run was Steele's fourth of the season and second of the weekend. Missouri wasn't done in the inning, however, drawing a pair of walks on either side of a sac bunt, ending Camp's afternoon. Chase Williamson then came in and after getting an out, allowed a two-out, two-run bloop single to Shane Segovia to put Auburn down three, 4-1.

Auburn loaded the bases with one out in the ninth but Ryan Tella struck out and Eric Anderson needed just one pitch to get a fly out to left off the bat of Jordan Ebert for his first save of the season.

Auburn returns home for its next SEC series, playing host to No. 16 Ole Miss Friday through Sunday. Game times are 6pm on Friday, 2:15pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday. Saturday's game will air live on SportSouth while the other two will air on AUHD. All three are available on the Auburn IMG Network and its baseball affiliates.
