AUBURN, Ala. -- Sunny Golloway says Auburn has to regroup after Sunday's baseball game slipped away.

Arkansas scored four runs in the last two innings and beat the Tigers 6-4 in Plainsman Park, hanging on after Auburn loaded the bases in the ninth.

"We have no option but to regroup, get our head up and go back to work," said Auburn's baseball coach. "We're going to have to go and surprise some people and steal some, or we'll be duplicating the same things we've done before.

"But I still like these guys. They're a tough bunch. They fight. But we just didn't get clutch hitting."

Auburn had chances, but six times the Tigers had a runner at second with one out and didn't score.

"We didn't have clutch hitting," Golloway said.

Auburn starter Rocky McCord took a 2-0 lead in to the fifth inning, and left leading 3-2 in the sixth after Cody Nulph drove in a go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly. But the Razorbacks scored two in the eighth and two in the ninth against three relievers. Auburn scored one in the ninth after loading the bases, but got no more.

Auburn fell to 19-13 overall and 4-8 in the Southeastern Conference. The Tigers will try again against Georgia State at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Plainsman Park before visiting LSU next weekend. Arkansas improved to `6-15 overall and 5-7 in the league as coach Dave Van Horn won his 500th game as the Razorbacks' head coach.

Anfernee Grier drove in Auburn's first run and scored on a Blake Logan single in the third inning. Cody Nulph drove in a run in the sixth with a sacrifice fly. Kyler Deese drove in a run in the ninth with an infield hit.

Andrew Benintendi hit a home run for Arkansas. Jackson Lowery improved to 3-0. Dalton Rentz fell to 1-1.
