AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn was unable to pick up a sweep on the opening weekend of SEC play, dropping the second game of Saturday's doubleheader 9-0 to Texas A&M.

The Tigers (13-7, 2-1 SEC) earned a league season-opening series win and took a three-game series from Texas A&M (14-7, 1-2) for the second straight season.

In Saturday's second game, Texas A&M starter Grayson Long (2-0) kept the Tigers off-balance for eight innings, scattering seven hits but walking just one while striking out seven. Justin Camp (1-2) took the loss for Auburn, giving up four earned runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings of work.

Connor Short, Damon Haecker and Dan Glevenyak had two hits apiece for the Tigers.
