AUBURN -- True to its word, Auburn was playing tackle football to start the serious phase of Saturday's scrimmage in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Kiehl Frazier was first up at quarterback, but don't read too much into that.
The early part of practice featured punt returns. That was tackle football, too. Trovon Reed returned the first punt, followed by Quan Bray and Jonathan Mincy.
There was lots of shouting for the "blue" and "orange" teams during special teams.
In the midst of all of that, the offensive line and defensive line had some serious one-on-one drills.
The players seemed to show more fire than usual when they returned as a team, jumping about and yelling.
We'll be back with more...
