Auburn, Ala. - Auburn soccer players Addie Ragsdale and Summer Ragsdale, along with Auburn swimmers Julianne McLane and Tyler McGill, delivered school supplies to Loachapoka Elementary School Wednesday. The group was accompanied by Troy Smith, an Academic Counselor, and Stephanie Clements, Tutor Coordinator, from the Auburn Athletics Department's Student-Athlete Support Services Office.

Clements organized the Athletic Department's first ever school supply drive. Student-athletes from several sports, along with Auburn Athletics Department employees, donated schools supplies and money to purchase additional supplies.

Clements said that "she was so excited to be able to deliver over $200 in school supplies to the Principal's office. The supplies will go to children who can not afford to purchase their own supplies." She hopes to make this an annual event.

Loachapoka Elementary School has 315 students enrolled in Kindergarten - sixth grade. For additional information on donating school supplies, contact Stephanie Clements at 334-844-9808.
