15 Auburn Student-Athletes Graduate in 2007 Summer Term

A total of 15 Auburn student-athletes graduated as part of the Auburn University Summer 2007 graduating class on Saturday. The graduates represent nine of Auburn's sport programs, including four from football, two each from baseball, men's track and softball, and one from both men's and women's basketball, men's and women's tennis as well as women's golf.

"We are happy to share in the excitement and accomplishment that these Auburn student-athletes are experiencing," said Virgil Starks, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student Services. "They have put in many, many hours of hard work and preparation both on and off the playing field."

Among the 15 graduates include one All-American, two All-SEC performers, one All-Region selection and three SEC Academic Honor Roll recipients.

"The ability to balance academics and athletics at Auburn University has prepared these student-athletes to excel in their future careers," said Starks. "They will forever be part of the framework that is Auburn University, and all of us are very proud of them."

The graduates collectively hail from seven states and two countries.
