AUBURN, Ala. -- The Auburn men's and women's track and field team opened up the outdoor season at the 87th annual Clyde Littlefield Track Relays at the Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas and Yellow Jacket Invite at the George C. Griffin Track in Atlanta on Friday.

At the Texas Relays, junior Gary Ford qualified for the 110 meter hurdle finals after recording a personal best 13.98 to win his heat. In the 4x100 relay, Auburn's team consisting of freshmen Teray Smith, Michael Cheeks, Khalil Henderson and senior Keenan Brock qualified for the final with a 39.58.

The final for the 4x100 relay is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 1:30 p.m., while the 110 meter hurdle final is scheduled for 2:50 p.m.

At the Yellow Jacket Invite, senior Tori Nwadiogbu placed fifth in the women's hammer throw with a personal best distance of 161-05/49.21m. Freshman Amber Sudzuis recorded a top-10 finish with a throw of 129-10/39.58m. In the men's hammer throw, sophomore Andrew Dunkleberger edged out Kevin Harrison with a throw of 174-04/53.15m.

Action at the Yellow Jacket Invite is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am CT with the shot put and javelin, while running events will begin at 1:30 pm CT.
