Scarlett finishes 11th at NCAA Indoor Championships

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Auburn junior Samantha Scarlett finished 11th in the 60 meter hurdles prelims at the 2014 NCAA Track and Field Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center on Friday.

Scarlett’s time of 8.20 is a personal best and ties for the third-fastest time in the event in program history. LSU’s Jasmin Stowers won the prelim with a time of 7.98.

Action will continue on Saturday as Valentina Muzaric and Marshay Ryan will compete in the shot put and triple jump, respectively, with both events starting at 7 p.m. CT.
