AUBURN, Ala. - For the second week in a row, Auburn senior Kerron Stewart has been named the Women's Runner of the Week by the Southeastern Conference. Stewart earned the award for her performance at the Penn Relays.

Stewart was named the Outstanding Women's College Athlete for Individual Events at the 113th running of the Penn Relays April 26-28 after winning the College Women's Championship in the 100-meter dash. Stewart won the race in 11.15 seconds, easily beating the field by a margin of .28 seconds over the next closest competitor.

Stewart, who owns the fastest times in the world this year in both the 100m and the 200m, became the first Auburn athlete, male or female, to earn an Outstanding College Athlete award from the Penn Relays. She also became the first Auburn woman to win the 100m at the Penn Relays.

Stewart, who also had posted the fastest time in the prelims of 11.22 seconds, also anchored Auburn's 4x100m relay to a third-place finish with a time of 43.95 seconds that ranks Auburn fifth in the NCAA this season.

The NCAA indoor champion in the 60m and the 200m, Stewart will lead the Tigers into the SEC Outdoor Championships May 10-13 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
