Track Posts Four Wins and Nine PRs at Troy

TROY, Ala. – Auburn track and field recorded four event wins and posted nine personal bests on Saturday at the 2012 Coach O Invitational hosted by Troy University.
The four victories included a win by freshman Erin Fondren in the 5000 meters. Fellow women’s distance runners Elizabeth Briasco (3rd place, 4:48.42) and Lauren Barr (5:10.13) also posted new PRs in the 1500 meters.
In the men’s 100 meters, freshman Joseph Fisher established a new career-best mark with his fifth-place finish in 10.62 seconds. Senior Neil Danville PRed with his mark of 21.89 seconds in the 200 meters and placed fourth in 48.66 in the 400 meters.
Sophomore Tori Nwadiogbu set a new PR in the women’s hammer throw with her mark of 48.94m.
Pole vaulter Nick Farrell finished first with his clearance at 4.80m – his second win of the season.
