SAN DIEGO, Calif. – In addition to a solid day at Penn, several members of the Auburn track and field program also had strong performances at the UCSD Triton Invitational.

In the women’s high jump, Maya Pressley earned her second high jump title of the season and first since Texas Relays with a clearance at 6-0 (1.83m).

Junior thrower Marcus Popenfoose set a new personal best in the men’s shot put with a long throw of 61-0.25 (18.60m). The throw placed him sixth overall at the competition and makes him only the sixth man in Auburn history to record a throw over 60 feet.

Valentina Muzaric finished as the runner-up in the women’s shot put with a great series of throws. Her top mark was 55-5.5 (16.90m), but the sophomore also registered four throws between 16.78-16.90. Teammate Anna McCloskey recorded a top throw of 41-8 (12.70m).
