Last chance meets from this weekend are now complete, solidifying Auburn's competition list for the NCAA Indoor Championships, held Mar. 9 -10 in Fayetteville, Ark.
Auburn will send six men and four women to the national championship meet to compete in nine different events. Cory Martin will participate in the weight throw and the shot put, and Jacob Dunkleberger will compete in the weight throw as well. Donald Thomas will high jump, while Ty Akins and Shamar Sands will run the 60m hurdles. Mark Johnson will pole vault.
For the women, Kerron Stewart will run the 60m and the 200m as will teammate Tracy Ann Rowe. Michelle Vaughn will triple jump and Raevan Harris will high jump.
The last two Tigers to compete at last chance meets, Felix Kiboiywo and Reuben McCoy, failed to post times that would qualify them for nationals. Kiboiywo ran a time of 4:09.79 in the mile and McCoy posted a time of 47.40 in the 400m.
The NCAA Indoor Championships kick off Friday, March 9th at the Randal Tyson Track Complex in Fayetteville, Ark.
