2007 Indoor: Captured the national championship in the high jump by clearing 2.33m (7-7.75) at NCAA Indoors, tying a facility record .... Did not register a miss until he attempted to tie the collegiate record at 2.37m (7-9.25) ... Won the SEC championship without challenge by clearing 2.24m (7-4.25) and again not fouling until he attempted to break the meet record at 2.33m ... Earned a second-place finish in the championship section at the Tyson Invitational with a jump of 2.24m (7-4.25) ... Broke a 19-year-old school record in his first meet as an Auburn Tiger, clearing 2.30m (7-6.5) at the Diet Pepsi Invitational.
At Lindenwood University: Attracted national attention when he joined the Lindenwood track team early in the 2006 indoor season and later that week in his first meet, the Eastern Illinois Mega Meet, he cleared 2.22m (7-3.25) while jumping in running shoes, winning the event and breaking school, meet and facility records ... Earned NAIA Indoor All-American honors with a runner-up finish at the national meet, clearing 2.18m (7-1.75) ... Won the high jump with a jump of 7-0.25 at the Jayhawk Invitational ... Won the high jump with a jump of 7-1 at the Hoosier Relays ... Placed second in the high jump at the Mule Relays with a jump of 6-10.75 ... Earned a fourth place finish at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, with a clearance of 7-3.75 ... Also played basketball at Lindenwood.
